Sophos Endpoint Security and Control

General Information

UITS is providing the latest version, Sophos Antivirus 10. If you install and manage your Sophos software, you will need to download the new software. This upgrade will not affect computers that use a departmental update server. Should you require assistance please contact the 24/7 IT Support Center at (520) 626-TECH (8324) or Submit a UAssist Support Request

The University of Arizona purchased an unlimited site license for Sophos anti-virus server and workstation software provided by Sophos, Incorporated.

Eligibility

• Available at no cost to UA faculty, staff, and students, for use on campus systems and personal workstations located at home

Available Products

• Sophos Anti-Virus offers the ability to automatically update and maintain Sophos Anti-Virus software on many platforms. Links on this website will allow you to install the Sophos Anti-Virus program. After the installation is completed the program will automatically download the latest IDEs (virus definitions), and then continue to update Sophos automatically through network connections to a server located at UITS.

• Sophos Enterprise Manager provides a fully automated web-based installation and updating of Sophos Anti-Virus across a wide range of platforms.
• Download virus identities (IDE files) (NOTE: Sophos Remote Update does this automatically).
